Victor H-H Goh

Dr. Goh joined as Director of Core Lab at Harbor-UCLA and faculty in January of 2007. Prior to this appointment, Dr. Goh was an endocrine researcher and Research Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the National University of Singapore. Dr. Goh is an expert in transsexualism and reproductive endocrinology of women and was a pioneering member in the Singapore In Vitro Fertilization Team. As an Adjunct Principal Research Fellow of the Defense Medical and Environmental Research Institute in Singapore, he is recognized as an expert in research into optimal sleep-wake cycle. Dr. Goh is a long serving consultant to the Human Reproduction Program of the World Health Organization beginning in 1980, and has served in several portfolios in HRP/WHO. He is thus fluent in global health research management. Dr. Goh’s current research interests include the epidemiological study of human aging in Asian population with the aim of understanding the determinants of aging and establishing holistic management modalities for managing aging men and women. He continues to be interested in female reproductive endocrinology especially in the elucidation of the cause(s) of early pregnancy loss and miscarriages. He continues to research on circadian rhythms and work shift cycles, to establish better work/shift cycles and thereby empower shift workers with better recuperative sleep programs and more efficient work output. In clinical diagnostics, Dr. Goh seeks to establish ID-LCMSMS methods for analytes for which there are currently no viable commercially available kits.
