Yi-Qun Gu
I was graduated from Beijing Medical University in 1983, obtained MD and then jointed National Research Institute for Family Planning and have been working up to now. From 1985 to 1987, I received urology training course in the 2nd affiliated hospital of Beijing Medical University. From 1988 to 1990, I received a WHO fellowship and was trained in Department of Anatomy, Monash University for reproductive biology. From 1996 to 1999, I received a post-doctoral fellowship from Mellon foundation and was trained in University of Washington for reproductive endocrinology. At present, I am Professor and Chief of Department of Clinic Research, Deputy Director of National Research Institute for Family Planning. My research work is focused on male fertility regulation, male aging, diagnosis and treatment of male infertility and relative basic research. Now, I am a member of WHO Research Group on Methods for the Regulation of Male Fertility, member of Chinese Association of Andrology and member of Chinese Association of Family Planning. Besides, I also hold many membership of edit board for medical journals and publish more than 50 scientific papers, and write and translate more than 8 books in my professional career.
