Guo-Min Wang
Prof Guo-min Wang is a doctorial supervisor and the former executive vice-President of Shanghai medical college of Fudan University, former vice-President of Zhongshan Hospital Of Fudan University, director of Urology of Fudan university, the key discipline of the Ministry of Education. He is vice chair of III phase work of constructive key discipline of "211 Project", director of Urologist and endoscopy training base of The Health Ministry, Standing Committee Member of Urological endoscopy Specialty Committee of the Ministry Of Health, chairman of Shanghai cooperation of Chinese and Western Medicine Academic Society male branch specialized committee, vice president of Shanghai Family Planning and Reproductive Health committee, member of the Chinese Medical Association Society of Urology, American Urology Association and European Urology Association, the editorial board member or deputy editor in more than 10 professional journals such as " Chinese Journal of Experimental Surgery " , " Chinese Journal of Urology" and “Asian Journal of Andrology”, chief editor of the Urology section of “Surgery version 6 and 7” which is the national college teaching material, chief editor of the surgery section of “Ci Hai version 6”. He has cultivated more than 20 masters and doctors.
He won the Chinese Leadership Award in endoscopy, Shanghai Yucai Award, National Teaching Achievement Award, Shanghai Education Achievement Award and Shanghai Medical Science and Technology Prize. He has enjoyed the Special Government Allowance.
In 1969, he graduated from First Medical College of Shanghai medical system.
Since 1970, work in Urology department of Zhongshan Hospital Fudan University.
1n 1997, he studied as a visiting scholar in Urology department of Pennsylania Uniersity and Johns Hopkins University and directed by Alan J. Wein, Patrick C. Walsh and Louis R.Kavoussi.
He has participated and presided over research projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of china, Natural Science Foundation of Shanghai, Medical Science and Technology Foundation of The Health Ministry. His research has been supported by the discipline construction foundation of “Project 211” and “Project 985”. The research focuses on mechanism investigation of urogenital diseases especially the renal cancer, bladder cancer and prostate cancer.
Main direction: urological cancer; fundamental and clinical research of prostate cancer; minimally invasive urological surgery; integration of medicine.
