Administrative responsibilities involved the supervision of the electron microscope facilities and the advising of graduate students.  Teaching duties included both graduate and undergraduate courses in biology, reproductive physiology, and electron microscopy.  Research emphasis was on Sperm Physiology.  This included the evaluation of the new viability assay, the hypoosmotic stress test (HOS test), which evaluates the functional integrity of the human sperm membrane.
