Gerhard Haidl
Gerhard Haidl completed his Medical studies at Ludwig-Max, University Munich from 1975 till 1981. In June, 1981, he finished his state exam and obtained approval as medical doctor. From 1981 till 1983, he completed his residency in internal medicine, from 1983 till 1989, his residency in dermatology and andrology at the Department of Dermatology, University of Düsseldorf. In September 1987, he served as a specialist in dermatology and venereology, from 1989 till 1993, as a Senior Physician and Second Head of the Department of Dermatology and Andrology at the University of Giessen, in February, 1991 as a Specialist in allergology, and in February, 1992, he completed lectureship on dermatology and venereology. In October, 1992, he served as a Professor of dermatology, in particular dermatological andrology, at the University of Bonn and as a Head of the Andrology Unit. In February, 2006, he served as a Specialist in andrology. He published more than 150 publications in scientific journals and books, and has been a reviewer for different scientific journals, a Reviewer for the National Research Foundation (South Africa), and a Reviewer for the Research Foundation of the German-Israelian Society. He was elected as a member of many national and international scientific societies, a Member of the European Academy of Andrology(EAA), Director of the EAA-Clinical Training-Centre Bonn, a Member of the Advisory Board of the Asian Journal of Andrology, and a Member of the committee "quality control" (Andrology) of the German Dermatological Society. He is specialized in the whole field of andrology, in oparticular male fertility disturbances and genital tract inflammations/infections.
