        Yan Yuanchang, research professor, professor and chief of gamete cell biology laboratory, the director of Academic Committee of Key Lab. of Molecular Cell Biology and the member of Academic Committee in Shanghai Institute of Biochemical and Cell Biology. He graduated from Fu Dan University in1964, major in genetics. Then worked in Beijing Experimental Center of Biology, Beijing Institute of Biophysics, Shanghai Institute of Cell Biology from1964 to 2001, As a visiting investigator or post-doctoral fellow of the Rockefeller Foundation, he worked in Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, Center for Biomedical Research and New York University Medical Center for years. The research effort focused on the structure, function, gene engineering and expression of specific sperm membrane protein. He has been actively engaged in this field for over 30 years, and published more than 70 research papers in international and national journals. Due to his achievements, Dr. Yan was awarded extraordinary scientists by The National Ministry of Personnel.

Research Experience
1964-1972: Beijing Experimental Center of Biology, Academia Sinica.
1972-1976: Beijing Institute of Biophysics, Academia Sinica.
1976-2001: Shanghai Institute of Cell Biology, Academia Sinica.
2001-present: Institute of Biochemistry and Cell Biology, Academia Sinica.
1981-1982: Visiting Investigator, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer. Specialty: Immunology.
1982-1984: Post-doctral Fellow of the Rockefeller Foundation. The Population Council, Center for Biomedical Research, New York.
1991-1992: Visiting Investigator, New York Unversity Medical.
My research effort focused on the structure, function, gene engineering and expression of specific sperm membrane protein.
