Aims and scope of journal
Asian Journal of Andrology (AJA), the official journal of the Asian Society of Andrology, is jointly sponsored by the Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, CAS and Shanghai Jiao Tong University. It is bimonthly published in English. Started its publication in June 1999, AJA will delightedly celebrate the 10th Anniversary in 2009.
AJA is aiming at the promotion of andrological research and the enhancement of academic exchange between western and Asian andrology. AJA publishes new findings in basic and clinical (including modern, traditional and epidemiological) research on Andrology. Of special interest to the Journal are:
        ? Regulation of spermatogenesis,
        ? Gene expression in accessory sex organs and external genitalia,
        ? Feedback regulation of gonadotropins,
        ? Sperm capacitation,
        ? Anatomical studies of the reproductive tract,
        ? Prostate diseases
        ? Physiology of penile erectile tissue
The Journal welcomes current Original Articles in all areas of andrology, both experimental and clinical, including modern, traditional and epidemiological studies, from any part of the world. Review Articles based primarily on authors own research on internationally important topics are accepted. Complementary Medicine, Short Communications, Clinical Experiences and Letters to the Editor are also welcome.
AJA is published bimonthly in English by Nature Publishing Group in partnership with Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, CAS and Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
