良性前列腺增生和前列腺肿瘤中有很少见的不活动神经内分泌细胞,然而小细胞神经内分泌癌(一种前列腺癌的变种)却带有高度分化的神经内分泌肿瘤细胞。我们的研究表明IL-8-CXCR2- P53通道可以使得神经内分泌细胞处于正常的不活动状态。P53突变可以抑制这个通道,导致小细胞神经内分泌癌中神经内分泌细胞的高度分化和侵袭行为。因此,我们证实了不同于恶性瘤的小细胞神经内分泌癌的细胞起源和分子靶点。这些结果有助于理解小细胞神经内分泌癌独特的生物学机理和它对激素治疗无临床反应的原因。
